How to delete your data
Effective date: 1 August 2026 · Last updated: 4 August 2026
This page explains how to delete the data PostThing holds about you. It supplements §8 and §9 of our Privacy Policy. PostThing is operated by JDG Kiryl Anokhin (NIP 8982272619), Poland.
1. Delete data received from a connected platform
To delete the data we hold from a platform you connected (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, or YouTube):
- Sign in to PostThing and open Settings → Accounts (
/settings/accounts). - Click Disconnect next to the platform.
- Disconnecting immediately deletes our copy of your access tokens and the platform identifiers and metadata for that connection (account IDs, Page names, handles). Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days; Google/YouTube data is always deleted within 7 days.
Alternatively, email privacy@post-thing.com from your account email with the subject "Platform data deletion" and name the platform — we will delete all data received from that platform within 30 days (Google/YouTube data within 7 days) and confirm by email.
Removing PostThing's access on the platform side (for example, in your Facebook or Google account's app settings) stops our access as well; we recommend also disconnecting inside PostThing so our stored copy is deleted right away. For YouTube/Google you can revoke access at any time via the Google security settings page.
Instagram — automatic deletion
For Instagram there is nothing to do inside PostThing. When you remove PostThing from your Instagram account, or send a data deletion request through Instagram, Meta notifies us and we delete the connection immediately — the access tokens, the account identifier, and the handle — in every workspace that had connected that account.
A data deletion request sent this way comes back with a confirmation code. You can check what it covered at any time on the request status page, or by emailing us the code.
Identifiers Instagram minted for posts already published through PostThing (post ids and permalinks) are erased automatically within 24 hours; encrypted backups within 30 days.
2. Delete individual posts and media
You can delete individual posts, images, videos, and voiceovers inside the app at any time. Deleting a post in PostThing does not delete content already published on a social platform — remove that on the platform itself.
3. Delete your entire account
To delete your PostThing account and all associated personal data:
- Email privacy@post-thing.com from your account email with the subject "Delete my account".
- We will verify the request, delete or irreversibly anonymize your personal data — including account data, workspace memberships, connected-platform tokens and identifiers, uploaded media, and generated content — within 30 days, and confirm completion by email.
We keep data longer only where the law requires it (for example, tax records linked to paid subscriptions, when those launch), as described in §8 of the Privacy Policy.
4. Questions
Email privacy@post-thing.com with any question about deletion or any other data-protection request.
