Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 28 April 2026 · Last updated: 1 August 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the rules for everything you do inside PostThing and for everything you publish through PostThing to a connected social platform. It is part of our Terms of Service. When this AUP and a connected platform's policy disagree, follow whichever is stricter.

If you violate this AUP we may, at our discretion, remove content, suspend or terminate features, suspend or close your account, retain forensic copies, and cooperate with law enforcement and the affected platforms (see §7).

1. Content you must not upload, generate, or publish

You may not use PostThing to upload, generate, store, or publish content that:

  • is illegal under the law of Poland, the European Union, or the country it is directed to;
  • sexually exploits, endangers, or depicts minors in any way (zero tolerance — we will report such content to the appropriate authorities, including NCMEC where required);
  • depicts non-consensual nudity or sexual content, including "deepfake" or AI-generated sexual content involving real people without their explicit consent;
  • impersonates another person, brand, or organization, or otherwise materially misleads about its source, authorship, or sponsorship;
  • promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or organized criminal activity, or provides instructions for building weapons or causing mass harm;
  • promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders in a way that could encourage others;
  • harasses, threatens, defames, "doxxes," or incites hatred against an identifiable person or a protected group (including on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age);
  • spreads election or public-health misinformation that is likely to suppress voting, undermine democratic processes, or cause physical harm;
  • infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, patent, trade-secret, privacy, publicity, or moral rights;
  • contains malware, exploit code, phishing material, or links to such content;
  • discloses private information about a third party (home address, phone number, financial data, government IDs, biometric data) without that person's consent.

2. Commerce and product posts

Because PostThing is built for product marketing, the following are strictly prohibited:

  • advertising counterfeit, stolen, or unlawfully obtained goods;
  • fraudulent, deceptive, or materially misleading commercial practices — including fake scarcity, fake reviews or endorsements, and false claims about a product's origin, materials, certifications, price, availability, or shipping times;
  • misrepresenting who fulfils an order or where it ships from, where the destination platform or applicable law requires disclosure;
  • pyramid schemes, multi-level-marketing recruitment content, and "guaranteed income" offers;
  • promoting goods or services whose promotion is restricted or prohibited by law or by the destination platform — including weapons, drugs, prescription medicines, tobacco and vaping products, gambling, and sexual services.

We may remove such content and terminate the responsible account without warning.

3. Behavior that is not allowed

You may not use PostThing to:

  • send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or "engagement bait" designed to game platform algorithms;
  • buy, sell, exchange, or fabricate followers, likes, comments, or reviews;
  • run undisclosed paid promotions, undisclosed political ads, or undisclosed affiliate or branded content where the platform or local law requires disclosure (TikTok, for example, requires branded content to be declared under its Branded Content Policy);
  • circumvent the rate limits, content rules, or moderation systems of any connected platform — including by rotating accounts, masking content, or fragmenting prohibited content across posts;
  • connect or publish to a platform account you do not own or lack the owner's authorization to use;
  • scrape, mirror, or republish other users' content from a connected platform without the rights to do so;
  • use bots, scripts, or automation against the PostThing API beyond the official endpoints and documented limits;
  • attempt to probe, scan, or test the security of the Service except under a written authorization from us;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise try to obtain PostThing source code or model weights, except where this right cannot be excluded by law;
  • resell, sublicense, or "white-label" PostThing without a written agreement with us.

4. Compliance with each connected platform

Every post you publish through PostThing is also governed by the policies of the platform you publish to. You are responsible for reading and following them:

If a platform suspends, restricts, or revokes your account or our app's access because of how you used PostThing, the corresponding features will stop working for you and you remain responsible for resolving the issue with that platform (see also §14 of the Terms of Service on reimbursement of costs you cause).

5. AI features — extra rules

When you use PostThing's AI caption or voiceover features:

  • Do not submit prompts intended to generate disallowed content from §1 or §2.
  • Do not use generated voiceovers to impersonate real, identifiable people without their consent.
  • Treat AI output as a draft you are responsible for. You are the publisher of every post.
  • Do not feed the AI features content you do not have rights to (for example, paid stock images or copyrighted scripts) and then publish the output.

6. Reporting illegal content and abuse

To report content you believe is illegal, or behavior that violates this AUP, email abuse@post-thing.com with:

  1. an explanation of why you consider the content illegal or in violation of this AUP;
  2. the exact location of the content (URL, post identifier, or workspace/account concerned);
  3. your name and email address (not required for content you believe involves child sexual abuse material);
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your report is accurate and complete.

We confirm receipt without undue delay, review notices in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary, and objective manner, and inform you of our decision and of the redress options available to you. We aim to acknowledge reports within five business days. Complete notices under points 1–4 are processed with priority.

For intellectual-property (copyright or trademark) infringement claims, send a detailed notice with the elements above to legal@post-thing.com. We follow notice-and-action procedures consistent with the EU Digital Services Act and, where applicable, the US DMCA.

7. Consequences

Depending on severity and history, we may:

  • ask you to remove specific content;
  • remove content ourselves and notify you;
  • restrict your access to specific features (for example, AI generation or publishing);
  • suspend or terminate your account and the workspaces you control;
  • retain logs and copies of the violating content for evidence and for cooperation with law enforcement and platforms;
  • where we are required by law to do so, report the activity to the relevant authority.

When we remove or restrict your content, or suspend or terminate your account or features, on the ground that it is illegal or violates our terms, we will give you a clear and specific statement of reasons: what we did, the facts and circumstances, the legal ground or the clause of our terms we relied on, and how you can contest the decision (by replying to the notification, emailing legal@post-thing.com, using out-of-court dispute resolution, or going to court). We may omit this where the law prohibits it or for deceptive high-volume commercial content.

Accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual-property rights, or repeatedly violate this AUP, will be terminated.

We try to apply these measures proportionately. For one-time, low-severity issues we will usually warn first. For serious violations — especially anything in the first three bullets of §1 or in §2 — we will act immediately and without warning.

8. Changes

We may update this AUP. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision. Material changes are announced as described in §16 of the Terms of Service.
